Marika and Joey got married on beautiful Maui with all their friends and family enjoying the celebration. Sugar Beach Villa on Maui’s south shore was the gorgeous location for the festivities. Palm trees, beach breezes and small waves set the stage for their special day.

Marika readied in the bridal suite with her best friends dressed in tropical palm leaf dresses, while drinking Veuve. The gentlemen wore Tommy Bahama. It fit the weather perfectly.

“Joey and I met through mutual friends. My best friend from college went to high school with him in San Francisco. After college I moved to San Francisco and lived with my 2 best friends and he moved to San Francisco with 3 of his good guy friends. Our houses basically spent every weekend together, shared dinners and birthdays and eventually one thing lead to another! ”

“I work for a public relations firm representing technology companies (Amazon, Facebook, Intuit). Joey has 10 years of hospitality experience previously working for the Ritz-Carlton, and more recently a boutique hotel in Malibu. Just recently Joey has switched career paths a bit and is now the Estate Manager for a family here in the Bay Area.”

Marika wore a flower crown and the ceremony arch was adorned with tropical flowers, tuberose and proteas that smelled divine. My other career goal was to be a wedding florist! It was when I was 10, but it actually is a very attractive option to me still!

The ceremony was sweet, fun and heartfelt. Guests were welcomed to the party with hors d oeuvres and cocktails to enjoy the sunset.

The best men were a blast to listen to as they took turns telling fun stories of Marika and Joey. Their friends sang them a gorgeous song as a surprise after the toasts. A dessert table delighted the guests along with traditional Hawaiian style ice cream. They danced the night away and enjoyed the bright starry night. It was a beautiful night to remember.

salerno0002Tabitha and William celebrated their 5 year anniversary Maui style. On a windy day with big swell we explored Baldwin Beach park on Maui. The sea spray lit the background in a hazy, salty sort of way. Fall is beautiful here on Maui. Lots of rainbows, sprinkles and an excited ocean. Tabitha and William, happy 5th! salerno0004salerno0003Natalie Brown Photographysalerno0005salerno0006salerno0007salerno0008salerno0009salerno0010salerno0011salerno0012salerno0013salerno0014salerno0015salerno0016salerno0017salerno0018

“We decided on a destination wedding because we both enjoy to travel so much and wanted to make our wedding an adventure. We really had no specifics in mind, I bought all the girls grey dresses because they would go with whatever flowers we found when we got to Maui. We wanted to make our wedding planning as stress free as possible, and we both aren’t big planners. Luckily Gannons did almost all the work for us and made it look absolutely gorgeous! With the view we had we really did not need a lot of decoration and the wedding was very US! It was simple, not over done, very laid back and full of love! A destination wedding was the perfect setting for us.”2016-07-28_00082016-07-28_00092016-07-28_0010Kyla’s best friend/bridesmaid announced their pregnancy at the wedding, and Zach’s groomsman proposed to his girlfriend the day after. Love brings more love! I had a blast photographing this wedding and I hope I get to see them again on Maui someday soon. Congratulations Kyla and Zach! 2016-07-28_00112016-07-28_00122016-07-28_00132016-07-28_00142016-07-28_00152016-07-28_00162016-07-28_00172016-07-28_00182016-07-28_00192016-07-28_00202016-07-28_00212016-07-28_00222016-07-28_00232016-07-28_00242016-07-28_00252016-07-28_00262016-07-28_00272016-07-28_00282016-07-28_00292016-07-28_00302016-07-28_00312016-07-28_00322016-07-28_00332016-07-28_00342016-07-28_00352016-07-28_00362016-07-28_0037
